HERPES TREATMENT ($50K) - This one is especially important to us due to our plans to upgrade our Wrestling Room; eliminating skin diseases is key.
Right now the Kicking Mules are #1 in the NATION in the Pepsi Refresh Everything competition, a contest to let the public decide which ideas get millions of dollars in grants for community projects. Mules Muscle is in the running for $250,000 to build a weight room that will expand physical education for all students, provide space for a new weight room, and create space for the first ever wrestling room.
Bedford, like many districts across the nation, is in tough economic times. A victory in this national contest would do so much more than build an addition on to the school. Not only would it teach today's students and future generations about lifelong health, it would be a hopeful sign for an economically battered region that good things are on the horizon.
